(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime Unit detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to rob a Melville bank late last year.
On December 31, 2015, a man entered Citibank, located at 425 Broadhollow Road, at approximately 11:25 a.m. and placed a bag on the counter in front of a teller who backed away from the counter. The man then handed a different teller a note demanding cash. The second teller also backed away from the counter and the man fled on foot without proceeds.

The suspect was described as black, 20 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build. He wore a black mask, a black hooded jacket, dark jeans and sneakers.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
