(LONG ISLAND, NY) From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, presented by the ArtsPower National Touring Theatre, is an enchanting new drama that follows Claudia Kincaid and her brother Jamie up the stone steps of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and right into the middle of an adventure that is sure to captivate audiences of all ages.

The story tells of the Claudia and Jamie’s grand adventure and how they are able to survive undetected inside the Met for a whole week. While there, they take the opportunity to learn new things, and become captivated by the newest exhibit, a marble angel that may just be a genuine Michelangelo sculpture. There and then, Claudia resolves to solve the mystery before returning home, but unfortunately, finances are running low and time is running out for the two.

Claudia and Jamie use the last of their resources to locate the former owner of the angel, Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler and negotiate a deal with her, the outcome of which decides the success or failure of their adventure.

The Lively Arts Series at Suffolk County Community College will present From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler in the Van Nostrand Theatre on the Michael J. Grant Campus, Brentwood on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
General Admission is $8.00; senior citizens and SCCC faculty pay $7.00. SCCC students with current I.D. are entitled to one free ticket.
