(Long Island, NY) A Suffolk County Police Third Precinct officer revived a baby who fell into a pool in Brentwood on Thursday, June 25.
Police responded to a call of a 16-month-old baby who was found unresponsive in a pool at 7:47 p.m. Third Precinct Patrol Officer Ramses Cerdas scaled a neighboring fence and immediately grabbed the baby from his mother and started performing CPR at 7:49 p.m. The baby began to vomit water and breathe on his own.

Brentwood Legion transported him to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. He was awake, fully alert and responsive. The baby is being held at the hospital for observation.
The Town of Islip Investigator responded to check the legality of the pool installation.
