(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Pattern Crime detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred in Mastic this afternoon, Thursday, February 27, 2014.
According to police, a man entered the Capital One Bank located at 1235 Montauk Highway, approached a teller, and presented a note demanding cash at approximately 3:40 p.m. The teller complied with the demand and the man fled the bank on foot. He was last seen heading south towards Montauk Highway.
The robber is described as a white male, between 5 feet 8 inches tall and 5 feet 10 inches tall, in his mid-20s, with a thin build. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
