(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Third Squad detectives are investigating a crash that critically injured a man in Bay Shore on Friday, December 25.
Blanco Santos was driving a 2014 Nissan pickup truck northbound on Fifth Avenue at approximately 8:15 a.m. when his vehicle was rear-ended by a 2014 Honda, driven by Nickolaus Badwah.

Santos, 41, of Bay Shore, was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was listed in critical condition. Badwah, 21, of Ronkonkoma, was not injured.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information on the crash is asked to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
