(Long Island, NY) Third Squad detectives are investigating two separate incidents during which shots were fired in Central Islip on August 6 and August 7.
Several gunshots were fired at a residence, located at 17 Third Ave., on August 6, at approximately 9:15 p.m. There were no injuries.

In a separate incident, shots were fired into an unoccupied vehicle parked in a driveway, located at 12 Brightside Ave., this morning at approximately 3:30 a.m. There were no injuries.
Detectives are investigating if the two incidents are related.
The investigation is continuing. Detectives ask anyone with information regarding either of these incidents to call the Third Squad at 631-854-8352 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
