(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police detectives are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on Wednesday, February 24 at a Shirley bank.
A man entered Capital One Bank, located at 800 Montauk Highway, at 9:50 a.m. and handed a teller a note demanding cash. The teller complied and the man fled on foot southbound.

The suspect was described as white, unshaven, possibly in his 30s, approximately 5 feet 9 inches to 5 feet 11 inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing jeans, a black coat, a light-colored baseball cap and work boots.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
