(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and the Seventh Precinct Crime Section are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying and locating the person who stole a purse from a store in Shirley last month.
A man stole a purse from a shopping cart at the Best Yet Market, located at 803 Montauk Highway, on May 23 at approximately 2:10 p.m.

The suspect is described as light-skinned, in his 30s, between 5 feet 7 inches tall and 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and a mustache. He was wearing a baseball hat, jeans, sneakers and a chain outside of his t-shirt. He has a tattoo on his left forearm from his hand to his elbow and a tattoo on the inside of his right forearm.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
