(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who used counterfeit money at a gas station in Calverton last month.

A man entered Exxon, located at 1 Edwards Ave., and used a counterfeit $20 bill to make a purchase on May 13 at approximately 10:05 p.m. The man fled in a dark-colored pickup truck.

The suspect was described as black, in his early 20s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
