(Long Island, NY) The Third Squad detectives report the arrest of three men for Grand Larceny which occurred in Westbury between Monday, August 17, 2015 and Monday, August 24, 2015.
According to detectives, Joshua Nembhard, 17 of Westbury, Robin Diaz, 24 of New Cassel and Rodney King, 22 of New Cassel did contact the female victim, 21 on social media with an employment opportunity.

The victim accepting what she thought was new job did give subjects banking information for future direct deposit payments. The subjects removed an undisclosed amount of US currency from victim’s bank account and continued to threaten the victim on numerous occasions for additional US currency.

After an investigation detectives were able to apprehend Nembhard and Diaz on Monday, August 24, 2015 and King on Saturday, August 29, 2015.

Nembhard and King were charged with Grand Larceny 2nd degree and Grand Larceny 3rd Degree, Diaz was charged with Criminal Facilitation 4th degree. Nembhard and Diaz were arraigned on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 and King was arraigned on Sunday, August 30th at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
