(Stony Brook, NY) With headlines changing by the day on the Affordable Care Act, “The Ins & Outs of Obamacare” on November 13 will surely be an informative and timely seminar featuring an esteemed panel, not only in the medical field, but health administration and economics as well. Hosted by the Ward Melville Heritage Organization, it’s the latest in their ongoing Navigate Your Healthcare dinner series.

Panelist John Sardelis, (pictured right) Head of the health administration program at St. Joseph’s College and a frequent lecturer on health policy and the Affordable Care Act says, “New York’s implementation of Obamacare is unique from many perspectives since our state created its own exchange and already has many of the insurance reforms mandated by the law. Yet there are many other aspects of this broad and complex law that will change your health insurance coverage. Come and hear what this all means for New Yorkers.”
Additional speakers are L. Reuven Pasternak, MD, (pictured left) Chief Executive Officer of the Stony Brook University Hospital and Vice President for Health Systems for Stony Brook Medicine and Raymond J. Keating (pictured center), Chief economist of the Virginia-based Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council and author of numerous books. Topics of discussion will include healthcare in the workplace, public policy perspective, Medicare as well as how healthcare relates to individuals, small businesses and the self-employed.
The Moderator for this session will be John Kominicki, who recently announced his move from Long Island Business News to Digital Motion, a Bohemia-based marketing company, where he will be President and Partner.
