(New York, NY) The Kallos Campaign for City Council on the Upper East Side unveiled today a one-month campaign fellowship program to elect the Democratic nominee on the Upper East Side and Roosevelt Island. Modeled after noted internships such as Gale Brewer’s Brew Crew and the de Blasio organizing fellowship, applicants can choose to apply as Organizing, Communications or Finance Fellows.
“I’ll never forget my summer interning on the Kallos Campaign. After trying my hand at many different aspects of the campaign, I was promoted to Social Media Director, managing our digital presence to bring in volunteers and fire up our base. Ben was committed to promoting a great work environment and getting face time with everyone. This was a great introduction to political life,” said Ellen Choe, Junior at Northwestern University.
Kallos Fellows will help manage the core aspects of the campaign, including coordinating volunteers, organizing community outreach and constructing the campaign’s messaging.
“Our Summer interns were the most enthusiastic and dedicated team around, and we couldn’t have won our race without them getting the word out about Ben’s fresh ideas, commitment to services for all New Yorkers and record of reform. Interns also made close friends on the campaign. Because we have just three weeks until the general election, our fellows will take on even more responsibility for a fast-paced, exciting experience,” said Kallos Field Director Paul Westrick.
