(Long Island, NY) The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of three individuals from Queens for Possession of a Forged Instrument on Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 6:15 p.m. in Lynbrook.
According to detectives, Lynbrook Police responded to an auto accident on Sunrise Highway. Defendant Olawale G. Seriki, 29, Mesha Meronnee, 22, and Walesca Nelson, 21, were the occupants of a 2004 BMW involved in the accident. During the investigation the officers discovered numerous re-encoded credit cards, a credit card re-encoding device along with a small skimming device. The subjects were all placed under arrest at the scene.

Seriki is charged with (23) twenty three counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd degree, (1) one count of Possession of a Forgery Device and (1) one count of Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device. Meronnee and Nelson are both charged with one count of Possession of a Forged Device and Unlawful Possession of a Skimmer Device 2nd degree. All three defendants will be arraigned on Thursday, July 02, 2015 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
