(Long Island, NY) The First Squad reports the arrests of three (3) males from Hempstead for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property that occurred on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at 4:25 pm in Freeport.

According to detectives, 911 received a call that a 2010 black Nissan Altima was stolen from Rutland Road. First Precinct officers on routine patrol observed the vehicle travelling westbound on Grand Avenue near Babylon Turnpike. The officers conducted a VTL stop on Gill Avenue.

Defendants Delroy Carter, 25, and Damien Pinckney, 36 (both passengers in vehicle), were placed under arrest without incident. The driver fled the scene on foot. After a brief foot pursuit defendant Dyshane Ravenell, 25, was placed under arrest on Robin Court, Freeport.

The defendants are being charged with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd Degree. Defendant Ravenell has an additional charge of Robbery from an open Nassau County Warrant dated on November 10, 2015. They were all arraigned on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
