(Long Island, NY) The Suffolk County Legislature approved the reappointment of three members of the Gabreski Airport Conservation and Assessment Committee, Robert DeLuca, Herman Beck and Jason McMunn, at the General Meeting on the First of March in Riverhead.

The purpose of the committee is to review the airport’s proposed leases and licenses and provide recommendations to the Legislature, the County Executive, and the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). Review by the committee is limited to an examination of the environmental, economic and community impacts of an application.
Legislator Fleming was appointed to the Gabreski Airport Conservation and Assessment Committee by Presiding Officer DuWayne Gregory this January.
“I am pleased to have had the opportunity to support the reappointment of these three members of the Gabreski Airport Conservation and Assessment Committee.,” said Fleming. “To support our economy, we need to create good jobs that will move Long Island’s East End toward a vibrant future that will allow young people to stay and raise their families here. I am looking forward to working with the committee to maximize our use of this resource.”
