(Long Island, NY) The First Squad reports the details of (3) three arrests for Robbery that occurred on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at 1:18 am in Uniondale.
According to detectives, First Precinct officers received a call for a Robbery with a gun that just occurred at a residence on Lenox Avenue. The male victim, 19, answered the front door when defendants Reese Wooten, 19, and Jerome Dews, 19, both of Brooklyn, pointed a pistol at victim and ransacked victims room removing a MacBook and Xbox 360 console.

Both defendants fled scene in a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser operated by a third defendant Devin Mayo, 21, also of Brooklyn.

Officers observed the vehicle on Hempstead Turnpike in the vicinity of Uniondale Avenue and conducted a vehicle and traffic stop and placed the defendants into custody. There were no injuries reported and all proceeds were recovered.

The defendants are charged with two (2) counts of Robbery 2nd Degree, Burglary 1st Degree and will be arraigned on Thursday, September 24, 2015 in First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
