(Long Island, NY) The Homicide Squad reports the details of a fatal vehicular accident that occurred on Thursday, December 03, 2015 at 11:45 A.M. in Westbury.
According to detectives, a Nissan, driven by an 86 year old male, attempting to make a left turn on Old Country Road from northbound Merrick Avenue was struck by an eastbound Lexus driven by a 72 year old female. The Lexus was spun around and struck on Old Country Road by an eastbound Audi driven by a 49 year old female.

The 84 year old female passenger of the Nissan was transported to Winthrop University Hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 12:14 P.M. by hospital staff. The driver of the Nissan was transported to an area hospital for treatment to his injuries. The driver of the Lexus was also transported to an area hospital for treatment to her injuries.
Brake and safety checks were done at the scene on the Audi and it was released to the owner. The other two vehicles were impounded for brake and safety examination.
Identification of the deceased is being withheld at this time.
