Zeldin’s vote would limit access to affordable, quality health services for women and families in Suffolk County
(Long Island, NY) Earlier today, Congressman Lee Zeldin welcomed 2016 by once again joining the ranks of his rightwing House Republican colleagues in voting to defund Planned Parenthood.
Today’s vote marks the sixth time Zeldin has voted to limit access to affordable, quality health care – especially for women and young people.
Instead of finding ways to improve our economy and create jobs on Long Island, Lee Zeldin double-triples down on finding ways to limit access to affordable, quality health care — especially for women and young people,” said former Southampton Town Supervisor and current candidate for Congress Anna Throne-Holst. “Whether it’s his refusal to back commonsense measures to keep guns out of the hands of terrorists, or voting to defund Planned Parenthood, Lee Zeldin’s rightwing agenda is far out of step with the rest of Suffolk County. We need somebody in Congress who will fight for the real Long Island and push to create economic opportunities for all hardworking families.”
