Evangelical Christians Coming Together to Call for Reform Rooted in Biblical Values
(BRONX, N.Y.) As momentum for broad immigration reform continues to build in the evangelical community, leaders from New York City are meeting tonight to pray for commonsense immigration reform.
Tonight’s gathering at the Bronx Bethany Church of the Nazarene is one of hundreds of events and gatherings across the country this week. Evangelical Christians are meeting as part of “Pray4Reform: Gathered Together in Jesus’ Name,” a week of prayer that continues the Evangelical Immigration Table’s ongoing Pray for Reform campaign. Participants are praying for immigration reform that reflects biblical values, including family unity and the God-given dignity of every person.
With immigration reform next on Congress’ full agenda this fall, evangelical Christians are stressing the urgency of broad, bipartisan reform.
