Councilwoman Berland Sponsors Resolution to Implement Improvements for Woodbury Road
(Long Island, NY) Huntington Town Councilwoman Susan A. Berlandsponsored Resolution 2015-355that was unanimously passed at the August 11Town Board meeting. The resolution calls for an amendment to the agreement with consultants Gibbons, Esposito & Boyce Engineers, P.C. for the purpose ofimplementing improvements to Woodbury Road. The plan calls for updated pavement markers, rumble strips, a topographic survey of curves around Woodbury Road and state-of-the-art skid resistance testing.
Councilwoman Berland worked with residents of Woodbury Road and passed a resolution in 2014 that ordered a Traffic Calming Study. Councilwoman Berland hosted a meeting on June 15 at Huntington Town Hall where the consultants presented the findings of the Traffic Calming Study. “We are now in the process of implementing many of the recommendations to calm the traffic on Woodbury Road,” said Councilwoman Susan A. Berland. “I look forward to assessing the success of these measures as they are implemented.”
