(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested two men for robbing a card store in East Islip on Thursday, February 4.
Two men entered Lucky Clover, located at 29 West Main St., at 5:55 p.m., approached a clerk and demanded he open the register. The clerk complied and the men stole cash and lottery tickets and fled.

Canine Section Officer Sam Barreto and his dog Chase responded and located the two men at one of their residences, located at 7 1st Ave., East Islip.

Third Squad detectives charged Daniel Dipaula and Matthew Ripple with Robbery 2nd Degree. Dipaula, 30, a resident of the home, and Ripple, 25, of Bay Shore, were held overnight for arraignment today at First District Court in Central Islip.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
