(Long Island, NY) The First Squad reports the arrests of two Uniondale men for Menacing that occurred on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 1:00 pm in Uniondale.
According to detectives, First Precinct police responded to the vicinity of Bedford Avenue and Midwood Street after a witness called 911 and gave a description of two men waving a black handgun and then leaving in a white BMW. After a brief canvass, a white BMW was observed parked in front of a Midwood Street residence along with two male subjects in the yard that matched the description.

After an investigation police placed Daniel Giralde, 40, into police custody. He was found to be in possession of a green leafy substance believed to be Marijuana. The second subject Dexter Famble, 47, was also placed into police custody and was found to be possession of a black magazine loaded with .45 caliber bullets in his pocket.
Further investigation revealed that a black .45 caliber handgun was recovered from a garbage can in the rear of the yard. There were no injuries reported.
Dexter Famble was charged with Menacing 2nd Degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree. Daniel Giralde was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana. Both men were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on Saturday, February 20, 2016.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
