(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man and woman who scammed a woman out of approximately $14,000.
The suspects tricked the victim into thinking the man won one million dollars but he needed money in order to collect winnings. To assist him, the victim withdrew approximately $14,000 from her accounts at HSBC Bank, located at 4036 Nesconset Highway, Setauket on September 1 at approximately 10 a.m.

The male suspect is described as Hispanic, in his 70s, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall with a medium build. The female suspect is believed to be in her 40s. She is approximately 5 feet 3 inches tall with a medium build. She may have been driving a green colored Dodge Caravan.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
