(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to rob an ice cream shop in Port Jefferson Station in September.
A man entered Carvel, located at 407 Patchogue Road, and demanded money on September 15 at approximately 4:25 p.m. When the employee did not comply with the suspect’s demands, he fled the store.

The suspect was described as possibly Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches tall to 5 feet 10 inches tall with a medium build and facial hair.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
