(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Southampton Town Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who attempted to burglarize a Water Mill house last month.
On August 18, at approximately 10 p.m., the suspect attempted to gain entry into the home by kicking open the door. The suspect fled when he was confronted by the homeowner who was inside the house.

The suspect is described as white with a thin build. He was wearing a dark-hooded jacket and grey gloves.
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
