(Long Island, NY) The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Wantagh man for Criminal Impersonation that occurred on Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 5:27 pm in Wantagh.
According to detectives, a male victim, 43 was driving south on Wantagh Avenue when a black Jeep pulled alongside and the front passenger, Peter Brasile, 52, yelled at the victim to “Pull over” as he displayed a gold badge in a black wallet.

The two vehicles pulled over and the victim called 911. Officers from the Seventh Precinct responded and the defendant Brasile was placed under arrest.
Brasile is charged with Criminal Impersonation 1st degree. He will be arraigned on Friday, January 22, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
