(Long Island, NY) Stony Brook, NY – Fratelli’s Italian Eatery in the Stony Brook Village Center is excited to welcome their new Pizza Chef, Food Network Alumni, Francesco Ilardi, to expand their gourmet pizza business.
His innovative ideas and gourmet pizza creations have reinvigorated an already appetizing menu at Fratelli’s. Francesco, who has over 25 years of experience in Italian cuisine, originates from Castellamare Del Golfo, Italy. He represented Team New York on the Food Network’s“Pizza Challenge Battle,” recently held in Cleveland. Some of his many delectable pizzas now at Fratelli’s include Mozzarella Caprese, Sausage Broccoli Rabe and his “world famous” Grandpa Pie, just in time for Father’s Day!

Carmelo Cataudella of Smash Studios in the Village Center, a self-proclaimed pizza-snob, says, “It is easily the best artisan pizza in the area…as good as any of the best Manhattan or Brooklyn pizzerias. Growing up in Brooklyn…this is the real thing! Francesco is making it with real integrity; very, very good stuff.”
Fratelli’s is located in the Market Square section of the Stony Brook Village Center, 111 Main Street, in Stony Brook. Owners Claude Cardin and Eddie Grimm also offer family dinner packages to go, an extensive catering menu, heros, pasta, gelato, Italian pastries, freshly baked breads from Brooklyn, Pastosa’s Ravioli and they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
