(Long Island, NY) On Monday night, Weitzman 2013 raised in excess of $200,000 at our kickoff event held at the Chateau Briand in Carle Place, NY. With 250 guests in attendance, including Legislator Judy Bosworth and former Oyster Bay Supervisor Lew Yevoli, and strong representation from the organized labor community, this is the clearest sign yet of the significant energy and momentum coalescing around Howard Weitzman.
In response Howard Weitzman issued the following statement:
“This overwhelming show of support will give our campaign the resources we need to win. I am humbled and thankful that so many of my friends, neighbors and concerned residents from throughout the County have decided that once again there is an urgent need for real leadership in Nassau County. My financial background and experience in both the private and public sectors make me uniquely qualified for this important job. That’s why I am running and that’s why I am looking forward to the campaign ahead.”
