(Long Island, NY) The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of a West Hempstead woman for Grand Larceny on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at 2:45 P.M. in New Hyde Park.
According to detectives, Vanessa Sanon, 29, of 1060 Mahopac Road, a customer at HSBC Bank received wire transfers totaling $150,000.00 on January 8, 2016 from the Bank of China, which were sent in error.

She began withdrawing cash and making purchases using her HSBC account which caused the bank to sustain a loss of over $29,000. She was arrested without incident.
Sanon is charged with Grand Larceny and will be arraigned on Friday, February 26, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
