(Long Island, NY) Westy Self Storage of East Northport today announced it will host a donation drive to benefit General Needs Ltd, a nonprofit organization providing basic necessities to homeless U.S. veterans. The drive will run from Feb. 3 to Feb. 27 at Westy’s East Northport location located at 4049 Jericho Turnpike (across from Barnes and Noble).
General Needs strives to help needy veterans and their families through direct ‘Distributions with Dignity’ of basic living items including underwear, socks, t-shirts, towels, washcloths and blankets, toiletries, footwear, and both warm and cold weather gear.
“It’s hard for many people to imagine living without the everyday necessities. Our veterans deserve more. Help us to help those who have served our great nation,” says Lonnie Sherman, President of General Needs, Ltd. “We are deeply grateful for Westy’s support and commitment to the community and those in need.”
Westy Self Storage will be open for drop off seven days a week, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
