(Long Island, NY) The Second Squad reports the details of an arrest for Criminal Possession of a Weapon that occurred on Tuesday, June 09, 2015 at 12:05 am in Farmingdale.
According to detectives, Bureau of Special Operations Officers, on routine patrol observed a red Honda Accord driving at a high rate of speed eastbound on South Front Street. The officers attempted to pull the vehicle over. The automobile finally came to a stop at a residence on Denton Place. A female driver exited the vehicle.

The officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the automobile and also observed a suboxone sublingual film packet on top of the center console. Defendant Yulisa R. Almonte, 24, of Copiague was placed under arrest without further incident. Subsequent to arrest, officers recovered a loaded 40 caliber glock handgun inside a center console, a loaded H&R nine shot revolver and a .22 caliber handgun inside a hidden compartment. Also recovered was a pill believed to be Oxycodone and an additional suboxone.
The defendant is being charged with 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd Degree and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th Degree. She will be arraigned on Tuesday, June 09, 2015 at First District Court, Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
