(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that killed a woman in Cold Spring Harbor on Friday, August 28.
Eugenia Kouwenhoven, 80, was driving a 2014 Buick Regal westbound on Woodbury Road when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into the woods at approximately 6:25 p.m.

Kouwenhoven, of Huntington, was transported via Suffolk County Police helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.
