(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police Seventh Squad detectives are investigating a two-vehicle crash that killed a woman in Rocky Point on Friday, May 29.
Michelle McDonald was driving a 2009 Mercedes sedan eastbound on Route 25A when her vehicle collided with a 2003 MACK dump truck that was backing out of a driveway located at 684 Route 25A at approximately 6 a.m.

McDonald, 29, of Rocky Point, was transported to John T. Mather Hospital in Port Jefferson where she was pronounced dead. The driver of the truck, Brad Parnell, 43, of South Setauket, was not injured.
Officers from the Motor Carrier Safety Section conducted an inspection of the truck and the Mercedes was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Seventh Squad at 631-852-8752.
