(Long Island, NY) The Major Case Bureau reports the arrest of Lashawn Pierre, 20, of Elmont in connection with an Attempted Bank Robbery that occurred on Thursday, January 14, 2016 at 5:35 in Franklin Square.
According to Robbery Squad Detectives, Pierre walked into the Chase Bank located at 654 Franklin Avenue displayed a black handgun pointed it at the victim and demanded cash. The subject was shot by an armed plainclothes security guard.

Pierre was transported to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries. There were seven employees and 8 customers present at the time of the attempted robbery.
Pierre is charged with Attempted Robbery 2nd Degree and was arraigned bedside at the hospital on Saturday, January 16, 2016.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
