(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Police have arrested a Yaphank man for a string of residential burglaries that occurred during the past four months.
Following an investigation by Seventh Squad detectives, Patrick Fontaine was arrested on December 8 and charged with four counts of Burglary 2nd Degree, two counts of Attempted Burglary 2nd Degree and one count of Petit Larceny for incidents that occurred at residences in the Colonial Woods and Whispering Pines apartment complexes in Yaphank between August and December.

Fontaine, 33, of Yaphank, is scheduled to be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
