(West Islip, NY) Bay Shore middle-school student Erin Dunn turned a difficult experience into a fortunate one for patients in Good Samaritan Hospital’s pediatric unit.
She has been fundraising by selling cupcakes, lemonade and hand-made bracelets raising more than $1,200 to purchase iPads for use by Good Samaritan pediatric patients to stay connected with family and relax before procedures. Erin wished she could have communicated more with her mom, Karen, who was hospitalized in Florida while Erin was sent home to recover in Good Sam following a car accident.
