LONG ISLAND, NY – Need help creating a Twitter account? Attracting followers? Getting Google to pay attention to your posts?
Then get your ticket now, as social media experts will answer questions one-on-one at the Fair Media Council’s 5th Annual Summer Social Media Boot Camp on July 10 at Briarcliffe College, Bethpage, N.Y.
“Apple would call them ‘geniuses,'” said FMC CEO Jaci Clement. “We’re calling them our social media therapists because, the truth is, social media is overwhelming, even for the most experienced users. We want everyone attending boot camp to get the help they need, so our networking breaks will include on demand, one-on-one time with heavily experienced social media users.”
The networking, exhibitor and ‘therapy’ breaks will take place throughout the morning program, which includes talks from social media pioneers and thought leaders Steve Rubel and Kevin Lee, and panel discussions ranging from strategy to execution and measurement techniques. Topics for formal discussion include:
- ‘What’s Next’
- ‘Leveling the Playing Field: Creating a Digital Presence That Rivals The World’s Biggest Brands’
- ‘The Next Generation of Cause Marketing, from (RED) to Red-Noses, Celebrities to Corporations’
- ‘Inside Secrets: Creating a Community of Brand Ambassadors to Attract, Engage & Retain an Audience’
The event runs from 7.30 a.m. to 12 noon. Dress code is shorts and flip flops. Attendees should bring laptops and business cards. The morning begins with continental breakfast catered by Panera and networking.
Since 2010, the Fair Media Council’s Summer Social Media Boot Camp has helped hundreds of businesses and nonprofits get social media savvy.
