(Long Island, NY) Nassau County Narcotics and Vice Bureau detectives have reported the arrest of a N. Merrick man on February 19, 2014 at 8:30 pm in N. Merrick.
According to detectives, on February 19, 2014 at approximately 2:00 pm, Antonio Daddi, 39, of 843 Jerusalem Avenue took possession of 1 kilogram of Stanozolol Powder (synthetic anabolic steroid) from a shipping location in the Merrick area.

According to detectives, on February 19, 2014 at approximately 8:30 pm, Narcotics officers executed a search warrant in N. Merrick where approximately 8 kilograms of anabolic steroid powder, several gallons of anabolic steroid liquid, including about 1000 vials filled with steroid liquid, 49 Oxycodone pills, 69 Percocet pills, 44 Watson pills, 10,000 empty glass vials and 150,000 empty capsules were recovered. At 8:30 pm that day, Narcotics/Vice Bureau detectives along with members of the Homeland Security Investigations JFK Narcotics Smuggling Group (JNSU) and the DEA executed a Court ordered search warrant at Daddi’s home. During the search of his home approximately 8 kilograms of anabolic steroid powder, several gallons of anabolic steroid liquid, including about 1000 vials filled with steroid liquid, 49 Oxycodone pills, 69 Percocet pills and 44 Watson (Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone) pills were recovered. Also recovered were approximately 10,000 empty glass vials and 150,000 empty capsules for oral consumption.
Daddi was placed under arrest without incident and is charged with two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and two (2) counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead today, February 20, 2014.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
