(Long Island, NY) Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section officers are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole money from a Smithtown church last month.
A man entered St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, located at 280 East Main St., and sat in a pew for an hour before he used tools to pry open a donation boxon October 10 at 1 p.m. The man fled with more than $100.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
