(Huntington, NY) Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone will sign the Tobacco 21 law while Suffolk County Legislator William R. Spencer, M.D. (D-Centerport) and Tobacco 21 supporters bear witness to this historic event! The resolution approved last month by the Suffolk County Legislature raises the legal age to purchase tobacco products, including e-cigarettes, to 21 years old in Suffolk County.
“Suffolk County is the first county in the nation to pass this important legislation,” said Legislator Spencer, sponsor of the resolution. “This is a measure that most agree will not only save lives but contain health care costs as well.”
