(Long Island, NY) Assemblymen Chad Lupinacci (R,C,WF,I-Huntington Station) and Andrew Raia (R,I,C-East Northport) today met with students from Elwood Middle School during their visit to the State Capitol. The students, who are members of the Elwood Middle School National Junior Honor Society, learned about the role of an assemblyman and the different divisions of state government.

“The students from Elwood presented some incredibly insightful questions about the legislative process, the role the Assembly plays in state government and how the decisions made here each day impact their lives,” said Lupinacci. “One of the most important issues we discussed during their visit was the importance school aid plays in providing them a quality education. Fortunately, thanks to the help of vocal local residents, this year we were able to ensure our students have the resources they need to receive a first-class education.”
