(Long Island, NY) The Second Squad reports the arrest of a Hicksville man for a Robbery that occurred in Hicksville at 5:01am on Saturday July 11, 2015.
According to Detectives, defendant Alfredo Uribe, 16, did enter the 7-11 located at 384 W. John Street. The defendant armed with a rifle, later determined to be a BB gun rifle, approached the male victim cashier, 36yrs., pointed the rifle at the victim and demanded cash. The proceeds were an undetermined amount of US currency, cigarettes and cigars.

A witness to the incident contacted the police. As the defendant fled the scene on foot he was observed by responding officers. After a short foot pursuit the defendant was located and placed under arrest.
All proceeds were recovered and no injuries were reported.
Defendant Alfredo Uribe is charged with Robbery 2nd degree, Criminal Use of a Firearm and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. He will be arraigned on Sunday July 12, 2015 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
The fact that a defendant has been charged with a crime is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty. Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the prosecution to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
