(Long Island, NY) Assemblyman Chad Lupinacci (R,C,I-South Huntington) recently visited Walt Whitman High School to honor Project Excel, a mentoring program designed to prepare high school and middle school students in the South Huntington School District for future careers and provide academic assistance.
“Project Excel has played such a valuable role in the lives of so many students in the South Huntington School District,” said Lupinacci, a former South Huntington School Board member. “We’ve heard the success stories of students persevering through difficult classes with the assistance that Project Excel provides. I look forward to continuing watching this program as it helps students better prepare themselves for life after graduation.”

Lupinacci also presented Assembly Citations to two parents with children in Project Excel who decided to return to school to earn master’s degrees.
“These parents set a strong precedent for their children by going back to school and pursuing master’s degrees. Their hard work and determination is inspirational, and I hope their children will follow in their footsteps,” concluded Lupinacci.
