(Long Island, NY)  This past week there were so many Hamptonite celebrities enjoying the hot summer weather, elegant soirees and fabulous Hampton eateries, like the Tide Runners restaurant in Hampton Bays located right on the Shinnecock Canal. Tide Runners is a Hamptons hot spot. The food is always delicious coupled with dining alfresco by the water while the sun gloriously sets over the Hampton turquoise waterways watching the boats go by.

Another famous hot Hampton’s nightclub is the recently opened Pink Elephant located at 281 County Road in Southampton.

Owners Robert Montwaid and David Sarner decided to expand their Chelsea club to Southampton complete with custom-heated pagoda-style cabanas and a phermone-releasing scent system turning the 6,000 square foot beach into a mini-Ibiza. This past weekend darlings, my sources tell me that supermodel turned model agent over the top Janice Dickenson’s choice was the fabulously over the top Pink Elephant who looked positively over-served.

Cain Southampton located at 1181 North Sea Rd.; Southampton caters to the glamorous regulars like Cynthia Rowley, Lydia Hearst and Howard Stern.

Another one of my favorite hangouts in Southampton is The Drivers Seat located at 62 Jobs Lane Southampton Long Island. This special cozy restaurant has a warm relaxed and friendly atmosphere making its patrons feel at home. “The Seascape” a triangular stained glass window in the rear of the restaurant complements the pinnacle of the cathedral ceiling creating a romantic chic ambience in the restaurant. The juicy burgers are the best in town. The menu is American gourmet cuisine and International entrees including Italian, French and Asian. The Drivers Seat also has Gourmet seafood and shellfish as edible main dishes. The rich tantalizing desserts are homemade and a dessert cart is brought to your table at the end of each tasty meal.

On the weekends “Luma” a contemporary jazz group proudly performs. The Driver Seat darlings is the premier Southampton’s meeting place, just perfect for indoor and outdoor dining, cocktails, lunch and speaking about having a fabulous lunch in the Hamptons veteran soap star Susan Lucci was lunching with gal pals on the patio at The Drivers Seat in Southampton. Johnny Damon, Yankee Centerfielder and his very pregnant wife graciously signed autographs for fans throughout lunch on the patio at the Drivers Seat in Southampton.

The Star Room in Wainscott is always packed with style. Stylish celebrities like Howard Stern and Beth Ostrosky who recently celebrated her 34th birthday which I reported earlier at a room filled with Hamptonite Stars in the Star Room.

In Sag Harbor, Haven is the place to go for entertaining Reggae tunes and a quick cocktail. The club is wonderful for mingling socially and dancing. It is also nice to know that they are one of the few places in the Hamptons that is opened year round.

(Long Island, NY)Significant other, beautiful blonde bombshell, adorable honey of “Shock Jock” Howard Stern, Beth Ostrosky celebrated her 34th birthday this weekend. Hamptons Magazine launched their July issue for birthday girl and cover girl Beth Ostrosky. This special event was star studded with many fabulous Hamptonite celebrities attending.

Brunette beauty Bethany Franco looked basic in beige. Kedakai Lipton and James Lipton were there to celebrate the festivities and of course Entertainment Journalist stunning Ms. Gina Glickman was there with her significant other Richard Kubick another gorgeous Hamptonite couple of the evening was Kathy and Rick Hilton.

Ms. Hilton looked amazingly beautiful wearing a summer bright turquoise dress. Another famous fashionista Hilton on hand was sophisticated Jolene Hilton wearing a sunburst golden dress.

But the most glamorous and striking couple of the evening was Beth and Howard.

My secret source told me darlings that Beth showed up of course on the arm of her beloved, Howard Stern, looking positively radiant in a crisp white sun dress showing off her Hamptons tan, expensive turquoise beads and a simple daisy in her flaxen blonde locks.

She is often nicknamed Beth O and has been dating shock jock Howard since 2001. Beautiful Beth was born July 15, 1972 in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. At the age of 9 she embarked on a modeling career in Pittsburgh under her mother’s influence. Beth admits that her mother, her biggest fan has encouraged her throughout her modeling and show business career.

Now embracing her celebrity status, she has become a television host, and stunning cover girl. More importantly she is fulfilling her passion in life for helping distressed animals. She is now a spokesperson for the North Shore Animal League, a no-kill adoption shelter. She was asked to do a fashion show and carry adorable puppies at a luncheon for them. She wouldn’t leave the runway until every precious puppy was adopted by a good nurturing home. Upon seeing the dedication and passion she had for animals, The North Shore League decided it was appropriate to make her a spokesperson. Since then she has assisted in the animal rescues in New Orleans and continues to be an influential advocator.

(Long Island, NY) This summer weekend I enjoyed the hot sandy beach the Long Island sunshine and the fabulous blockbuster movie Superman Returns.

I have always been a huge fan of Superman way back when it was a television series-starring actor George Reeves. Back in the swinging sixties there were two very sexy male actors with the last name Reeves. The first was the seductive muscular Steve Reeves who played Hercules, the Greek son of a Famous Greek God, Zeus and then of course was the handsome George Reeves who portrayed one of the greatest American comic book heroes of all time, Superman. I was approximately six or seven when I first started watching the man of Steel mesmerized by his charismatic physique, piercing blue eyes and intellectual persona. What is it about Superman that every man woman and child finds so ultimately appealing even now in the 21st Century? Do we still need the man of steel, Superman, to save us from ourselves?!

Superman ReturnsFaster than a speeding bullet. More powerful than a racing locomotive. Able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. Look! Up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s a plane. It’s Superman! Yes, it’s Superman – strange exotic visitor from another strange off planet who came to Earth with incredible powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men. In the updated version actress Noel Neill and Jack Larson from the original TV series, sat down recently to talk to about their long involvement in the world of Superman… They both make cameo appearances in “Superman Returns,” directed by Bryan Singer, Ms. Neill as a wealthy widow whose deathbed scene is the opening act of the film, and Mr. Larson as a bow-tie-wearing bartender serving drinks to Jimmy Olsen (played this time by Sam Huntington) and Clark Kent. The new and improved sexy starlet portraying our beloved Lois lane is none other than movie star Kate Bosworth. American actress Kate Bosworth, who plays the feisty journalist Lois Lane, stole the show from the caped superhero in a daring backless mini-dress at the London Premiere. Another fabulous actress Parker Posey places Kitty the arch villan’s girlfriend to Lex Luther played by Kevin Spacey. Parker looks glamorous, sexy and gorgeous wearing furs, pearls and diamonds throughout the film and delivers some very funny lines as the villain’s mistress to diabolical villain perfectly cast Kevin Spacy’s Lex Luther. Newcomer sexy hunk Brandon Routh now portrays the man of steel and is quoted in a recent interview saying, “I was aware of the great legacy, not only of Superman, but also of Christopher Reeve. He’s the one that made me love Superman, watching him perform.” said Brandon, but he added: “You have to try to imagine what it’s like to be the most powerful person on earth and there’s no room for fear in that.”

I must tell you darlings, after seeing the new and improved “Superman Returns” Actor Brandon Routh does a spectacular job of playing the invisible man of Steel. Everytime I gazed up at the enormous movie screen I felt like an impressionable girl of three going to see her first glamorous blockbuster movie flick. It was also extremely eerie, the resemblance is amazing, both stars, Christopher Reeve and Brandon Routh are 6’4; both are extremely handsome, both have those amazing piercing blue eyes and sexy cleft chin. I will never forget the first time I met and interviewed movie star Legend Christopher Reeve at the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation Gala, “A Magical Evening”.

It was my most favorite celebrity interview of all time. I had the opportunity to talk to Chris about some very important issues concerning spinal cord injury and victims suffering from Paralysis. “Why do your support Therapeutic Cloning?” I asked. Because it is a very important part of Research. I believe Therapeutic Cloning is necessary in order to use patient’s own DNA that is critical to avoid rejection by the immune system” he replied. Can you tell us about the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Act” I inquired, “ Yes that is an act that will blanket the entire country and create rehabilitation research, quality of life grants and medical research for all forms of paralysis he expressed.

To this day he has been my most significant interview with a celebrity ever. Yes darlings, I guess I am still in love with Superman just like every red blooded American Woman.

I recommend all darlings, to see this flick on the big screen. So many of us now buy or rent but this is a true Hollywood Flick you need to see on the big screen. There is just nothing like it darlings, take your kids, take your significant other, buy that $5.00 dollar popcorn indulge and enjoy!!!

This special waterfront seafood restaurant located on the famous nautical mile guarantees the freshest seafood, pastas, salads and more. At Rachel’s Waterside Grill darlings they not only satisfy your hunger in various subtle and refined ways, but also soothe and stroke your ego. My producer and I dined on the outside deck enjoying the balmy summer weather listening to calypso music sipping juicy marguerites and creamy pina coladas while we gazed out onto the turquoise blue canal watching fishing boats docking into port. After interviewing the charming owners Ivan and Rich we sat down and enjoyed a feast of outrageous seafood.

I especially enjoyed the tuna dish. It was perfectly seasoned and incredibly delectable. Other exciting dishes are Rachel’s seafood pasta with ½ of a two-pound lobster, sautéed with shrimp, clams and mussels served in a sexy garlic fresh herb clean white wine sauce.

Their appetizers are to die for as well like the Blackened Shrimp and Fresh Mozzarella Napoleon with grilled tomatoes and roasted red peppers, stacked on baby field greens and drizzled with Balsamic syrup.

For those who love Asian, I recommend the Japanese Tuna “Nachos”-Fresh avocado and spicy tuna tartare served on top of crispy rice paper “nachos” tossed with a chipotle ginger aioli and sprinkled with Nori ribbons.

If seafood is not your forte darlings, you can always try the Sautéed Chicken – Boneless breast of chicken, sautéed with prosciutto, wild mushroom and plum tomato topped with Italian Fontina cheese and a California Chardonnay demi glace over sautéed spinach.

The restaurant is family friendly and just a great place to enjoy summer dining.

I was honored to be invited this past week to the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center to attend a Benefit Concert for CancerCare on Thursday, July 6th. Prominent renowned lawyer and crooner Len Leeds was the opening act for singer and comedienne the marvelous Marilyn Michaels. Leeds lavishly opened the show demonstrating his clear and sensational talent, even when wearing his crooner hat—was, if anything, an underestimation. Mr. Leeds touched everyone heart present with his velvet crooner voice singing romantic oldie ballads.

In my special and intimate interview with the distinguished Mr. Leeds before his magnificent performance he discussed and revealed to me how important CancerCare is to him. Mr. Leeds was motivated by a client’s strong will to combat her cancer and her strong undeniable will to live. By showing his constant support he decided to make a powerful difference for cancer awareness by writing the incredible emotional love song “Love Will See Us Through”. This amazing song encourages and inspires all to survive the journeys and lessons that life has to offer. It is a song of support, love and amazing hope. A portion of the proceeds of the concert went to funding Cancecare. Mr. Leeds has also lost both parents to Cancer. In our interview he revealed to me that we all are touched and connected somehow through a friend, family or loved one with this dreaded illness.

(Long Island, NY) The 4th July weekend opened with a bang at theaters with the much publicized and highly anticipated film the Devil Wear Prada premiering on June 30th the beginning of the holiday weekend. You can all go and see this wonderful film at the Regal theater now appearing in Southampton.

The movie is based on the novel written by Lauren Weisberger a former employee of Vogue Magazine. Rumor has it darlings that Meryl Streep’s Character the deliciously wicked ruthless Amanda Priestly, Runway’s vicious editor, is really Ana Winotour, Chief Editor of Vogue Magazine. In The Devil Wears Prada I was privileged to be cast as a fashionista and socialite at the Metropolitan Black and White Ball Gala Scene. The actors on the set were styled to wear tuxedos and black, white and silver designer gowns. I wore a black lace Chanel gown with my very own silver mink stole.

Unfortunately my scene is on the cutting room floor but nevertheless it was a joy to be directed by David Frankel (Sex and the City, Entourage) who by my opinion was exceedingly smart to hire one-time Carrie Bradshaw costume designer Patricia Field – it’s the outfits that are really the only competition with stunning Streep for screen time. The clothes are to die for. Every design, every accessory, every gown and every ensemble is simply divine darlings. Bill Blass, Chanel, Valentino and of course Prada are seen throughout this fashionable film. Before going on the set each actor had to be approved by costume designer and stylist Pat Field to make sure that everything was tediously perfect.

I remembered my own little stylish scenario, I had just finished with makeup and then on to wardrobe when I recalled my scene was supposed to be shot but something wasn’t quite right so the wardrobe girl anxiously took me by the hand to get the once over by Pat Field. She took one look at me and said, “Your perfect, now just take that one extra diamond necklace off, and your fine”.

The sets are spectacular and the locations shots are amazing, New York City, Paris are some of the fashionable locations that are scene in the flick.

The premise of the film is about a young naive woman, character Andy Sachs played by doe-eyed brunette actress Anne Hathaway, comes to New York and scores a job as the assistant to one of the city’s biggest magazine editors, the ruthless and cynical Miranda Priestly. Actually Andy is really second assistant 2nd assistant to the Editor-in-Chief, Miranda Priestly (the gorgeous and stunning Streep). By second, I mean she’s gopher #2 behind Emily (a fabulously and hilarious Emily Blunt) – getting coffee, steaks, and occasionally learning how to be a fashionista. She is saved by the bell by Gay Fashion Director Nigel, played by the precious Stanley Tucci, who in my opinion simply steals the show. Tenacious Tucci delivers some really wonderful lines in the film and is very believable. His acting is really superb and the Divine Ms. Streep is perfectly cast as well.

Streep’s Miranda never raises her voice and is calm, collected and cool as ice. Joan Crawford would have been so proud. Stunning Streep portrays the perfect bitch diva boss elegantly dressed in Bill Blass and Prada shoes.
After two days of filming on the set I had the chance to meet and talk to many wonderful actors including the beautiful and stunning Stephanie Szostak who plays French character Jacqueline Follet. I also met and interviewed Actor James Cronin who plays the Ambassador. James’s character leaves his wife for the mistress (I shared a cab wit her and her husband) who he boldly brings to the Fashion Gala. James told me he was hand picked by Director David Frenkel and shares some important lines with Meryl Streep but I will never forget on the last day of shooting the gala scene Actor Tibor Feldman who plays Miranda’s boss Irv Ravitz came over to me and politely introduced himself and replied “I must tell you, out of all the actresses on the set, you have the most outrageous hair, you remind me of my glamorous platinum blond aunt at my Bar Mitzvah.”

A special Premier Screening of the film was held at the Regal Theatre in Southampton on June 24th. Celebrities that attended were Howard Stern, Mayor Julianie and Actor Stanley Tucci who all came to enjoy the film and give their support. After seeing the film, Howard Stern replied great, really great, Major Julianie expressed the acting in the film was superb and my favorite actor in the film Tucci said “Undeniably good movie, not a chick flick, not guy flick just the perfect undeniably good date movie”.

For every fashionista, I highly recommend The Devil Wears Prada. The film by far is the most entertaining sophisticated well-written comedy of the year. The Devil Wears Prada is the perfect little soufflé of fashion, fluffy, light and deliciously decadent and adorably delectable.

(Long Island, NY) I had the privilege this week darlings of interviewing glamorous beauty Pageant winner Mrs. International New York, Yulia Gurtin for my TV show Cognac’s Corner. I was introduced to the beautiful Mrs. International through Long Island Couture Designer Vladimar Iabadov whose creations are known as vladicouture.

Gorgeous Yulia was working for Vladi as a couture model when she decided to enroll in the Mrs. International New York Beauty Pageant. Because of her exotic stunning beauty her adoring husband encouraged Yulia to compete in the Beauty Pageant and much to her surprise and amazement she won the preliminaries.

The Mrs. International system has been developed to represent today’s confident married women, the pageant promotes their high commitment to family and marriage and their accomplishments. Mrs. International is the perfect opportunity to be a positive role model for today’s modern married women

The Mrs. International 2006 competition will be held July 21 and 22 2006 at the Northshore Center for the Performing Arts in Chicago, Illinois.

Each contestant will have the opportunity to learn about customs in other lands across the world. Mrs. International began 19 years ago with very high moral standards.

The Beauty Pageant is broken down into three competitions, Interview competition counting 50%, Evening Gown for 25% and Physical Fitness for 25%. Each contestant is given the opportunity to select a platform of her choice that she decides to spend the entire year promoting. Husbands are a very important and vital in the development and support of the pageant. After winning the title of Mrs. International the husband crowns his wife titleholder and escorts her.

Now confident in winning Mrs. International New York, Yulia asked Vladi, also known as “The Count” to design her evening gown for the Pageant.

Before becoming a high fashion designer, Vladimir had a successful 18-year career as a Gynecologist/Obstetrician. Because of his intense love of high fashion and design he started creating couture gowns for the upper class, and political socialites in Russia. After winning his green card in 2001 he decided to fulfill his childhood dream and become a famous fashion couture designer in the United States. He started designing specialty evening gowns for the wealthy New York Russian community. Vlad was introduced to a woman who owned a fashion show room in the garment district. She fell in love with his designs and he started showcasing his red carpet creations at Studio Dee Services. Since then his designs have been worn by R&B singer Ciara, Actress Nicole Robinson and now a suit jacket worn by movie star Luscious Lindsay Lohan in the soon to be released upcoming blockbuster film “Chapter 27”.

(Long Island, N.Y.) The most enchanting dining room in East Hampton is unquestionably CoCo Restaurant in the Maidstone Arms Inn. Its sumptuous setting is perfectly decorated to create a tropical oasis. The décor and menu are strictly Asian-Island theme with spicy dishes, splendicious flowers and exotic orchids that created the perfect setting for my Television Celebrity Interview at the Maidstone Arms Inn.

CoCo recently opened in Mid-February and now occupies the main dining room.

Proprietor Sammy Krasniqi immediately greeted me while escorting my entourage to our exquiste banquette reserved table.

CoCo is charming cozy and intimate. I especially loved our banquette corner surrounded by plush colorful luxurious pillows seated next to the warm glow of the fireplace, just perfect on that chilly summer night.

Dining is fabulous with soft music, skirted elegantly appointed candlelit tables dressed in starched white linen while Chef Sammy is preparing his masterpieces in the kitchen.

During my delightful visit to CoCo my guests and I enjoyed the opulence of flavor in nearly every dish, in harmony with the amplitude of the menu and the spaciousness of the setting.

Fish and seafood play major roles on the menu. The Scrimp is the signature dish at the restaurant. I especially enjoyed the grilled salmon and fried calamari.

They also serve a delicious pasta primavera for vegetable eaters who do not partake in eating beef or fish.

(Long Island, NY) This week I had the pleasure of doing my TV Show, Cognac’s Corner at the Historical Maidstone Arms Inn in East Hampton.

As we all know darlings, the Hamptons are still the retreat for the Hollywood glamorous elite and fashionable New Yorkers to vacation. Financier Ron Perelman, fashion designer Calvin Klein and Hollywood Producer Steven Spielberg all own residents in East Hampton where they summer on the weekends.

Of course darlings the best way to visit is to own your own summer estate complete with swimming pool and tennis court but if that is not the case the next best thing is staying at Maidstone Arms Inn.

This charming old-world Inn dates back historically to 1740. I adore the elegant French accents combined with classic New England Architecture. The setting is tranquil and very relaxing much like the B&B’s of Connecticut and New Hampshire.

Hotel Managers Gaston Harreguy and Monica Russo immediately greeted me taking care of my every need making sure my celebrity interviews at the Inn went smoothly. The staff was competent and most gracious. The Maidstone Arms Inn is breathtakingly gorgeous. I especially loved the impeccably manicured and beautifully landscaped outdoor garden.

The photos came out just beautiful of my celebrity guest, glamorous Mrs. International New York Yulia Gurtin and myself in the outdoor garden surrounded by all the spectacular flowers, the perfect setting for cocktails and afternoon tea.

The Water Room opens onto the outdoor garden and is the perfect place to chat with friends, play board games, chess and sip my favorite cognac darlings.

The history of the Inn began in the late 1600’s when the early settlers of Maidstone England arrived and settled in East Hampton. The original house was destroyed in a fire in the 1800’s and later rebuilt by the Osbourne family. In the late 1800’s the city dwellers decided to summer in the Hamptons looking for lodging so the Osborne’s decided to take in “paying guests”. In the 1920’s it became a Bed and Breakfast Inn.

In the Mid Twentieth Century the Hamptons grew in popularity as a summer retreat for glamorous movie stars, millionaires, and entertainers bringing with them fabulous restaurants and famous chefs such as famous French Chef Henri Soule and later Michael Field who eventually opened up the Maidstone Arms Inn for several seasoned summers followed by owner Tom Cowman in the late 1960’s.

The Inn is frequented among celebrities Jason Binn from Hamptons Magazine, recording artist Billy Joel and actor Alec Baldwin.

(Long Island, NY) Artists Against Abuse celebrated their 11th annual Gala on Saturday, June 17th at the elegant Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club. This very special event, darlings was catered by Robbins Wolfe Eventeurs. The Retreat honored Dottie Herman, President & CEO Prudential Douglas Ellman for her devoted dedication to the Retreat. August O. Unibe of Sotheby’s Auction house hosted the prestigious auction along with Television Star Joy Behar of ABC-7 “The View”. Guest celebrated this event by first enjoying cocktails then dinner and the Silent Auction began at 9:00 p.m. Their traditional Silent Auction featured specially commissioned hand-painted ceramic plates and a select Live Auction offered original works by prominent names in design, art and entertainment.

Darlings, Press Photographer Champagne Shane Gritzinger from Filmmagic.com was there to cover this impressive Hamptons event. TV Entertainment reporter sexy glamorous, Gina Glickman from News12 was on hand doing her usual intellectual interviewing for the local network and her column “Whispers” for Dans Paper. Glamorous Gina looked fetching with seductive white pants, sparkling silver lame halter-top and finally topping it off with a gorgeous Hamptons Tan. Ms. Glickman never looked lovelier as she interviewed TV Personality Ms. Behar who was complaining she is always being mistaken for The Divine Ms. M (Bette Midler). The celebrity guest at the event were all complaining about the heat that apparently my sources tell me that during the intense interview between Gina and Joy, Joy stopped and yelled out “Will someone please put the F!!!!! Air conditioner on, it’s hot as hell in here”!!!

Other important celebrities that attended were Financier Owain Morgan, Richard Kubick, Marilyn Church, Fred Davis and Sophia Hall.

The Retreat pioneered on the east end of Long Island domestic violence education in schools in 1995. Through the collaborative efforts of staff and Retreat volunteers, a dynamic and progressive domestic violence education program was developed for the elementary, middle and high schools. It was named HEROS DON’T HIT and then HANDS ARE NOT FOR HITTING™ (A wonderful title shared by the Minnesota Coalition of Battered Women with other domestic violence prevention agencies).

To recognize and address important issues in 1998 in the types of violence affecting families with children and adolescents the Retreat renamed their school program The Retreat’s In-School Violence Prevention Education.

To prevent ongoing violence in the homes of adolescent and children lies in the development of internal resources to protect them against violent abuse. When completing a school presentation their staff’s greatest satisfaction is knowing that they were successful in providing students with concrete information to use-if and when necessary.
